Main Reception by the Special Edition Band
Give your guests an unforgettable experience, as the Special Edition Band performs (and emcees) for your main reception. This includes a large repertoire of tasteful “conversational-level” music for dinner (i.e. Sinatra, Buble, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Elton John, etc.). Then at the right moment, we engage your guests with energetic dance sets ft. the full range of styles and genres. Many of our clients have booked us because they heard us at an event they attended!
Jazz for Cocktails
The Special Edition Band has a long heritage of strong Jazz performers in its ranks, and our Jazz Trio can set the perfect tone and mood to start your reception. The Trio is also a flexible option, and can easily perform on an adjoining patio, lobby/foyer, and can perform completely acoustically, with no electrical power.
Classical String Quartet
This lush and exhilarating ensemble consists of the traditional two Violins, a Viola and Cello, drawn from top string players in orchestras in the North Texas region. The large repertoire includes Baroque and Classical selections, as well as customized quartet arrangements of Pop and Rock hits.
Classical String Trio
For a touch of elegance, this vibrant and flexible approach consists of Violin Soloist, Keyboard and Cellist or Double Bassist. The repertoire ranges widely from the Classical world (Bach, Handel, Schubert, Beethoven, etc.) to lovely and expressive covers of Pop songs (classic and current) and Broadway hits. If requested we can create a custom arrangement of one of your favorites!
